Objective
To contribute to the conservation and integrated sustainable use of marine resources in marine protected areas and connectivity zones of the Eastern Tropical Central Pacific.
Expected results
- Enabling conditions for the integrated conservation of key migratory marine species in marine protected areas and connectivity zones of the Eastern Tropical Central Pacific are improved.
- Fisheries resources in marine protected areas and connectivity zones are used more sustainably and with the participation of relevant stakeholders.
- Regional integration for the conservation and sustainable use of marine resources is strengthened.
Targets
- 10 conservation and sustainable use projects financed.
- 50,000 additional hectares of marine area are used or managed in a way that conserves biodiversity.
- USD 5 million mobilized from other donors through the PACÍFICO platform for the conservation and integrated sustainable use of marine resources.
